SUMMIT CHAMPAGNE CASTLE 3377m
Champagne Castle Peak is at an elevation of 3377m, this is one of the most popular peaks in Drakensberg. Champagne Castle is the first to greet you as you drive into the Champagne Valley. A prominent Basalt structure with a Rolls Royce shape when viewed from the valley. A long protruding bonnet (Champagne Castle) and the “roof” (Cathkin Peak). Enjoy this amazing three day hike from R2950 per person, excluding Meals and Equipment. Team building groups are welcome.
Inspection of equipment and a briefing by our resident guide will be undertaken the night before at INKOSANA Berg Lodge.
DAY ONE: Hike from Monks Cowl to Blind Man’s Corner, quick lunch and continue to Keith Bush Camp. We will set camp for the night, dinner then bed.
DAY TWO: Early breakfast and start our way to the summit. Lunch with a View from the top and return to camp.
DAY THREE: Return to Monks Cowl via Keartland’s Pass (is an option) or the Sphinx. A chilled beer and wood fired pizza is available at the Lodge.
Hiking Meal packs are available for purchase from the Lodge.
