DRAKENSBERG HIKING TRAILS:

MONKS COWL:

The popular trails are Blindmans Corner via Crystal Falls and Keartlands Pass and Sterkspruit Falls.
Hikers can purchase a visitor guide from the Monks Cowl Visitor office. Hikers must register at the office before proceeding to trails. It is imperative that hikers wear protective gear and carry sufficient food and drinks for at least 24 hours in case of emergency of being cut off by sudden storms and torrential downpour.
Guests can park their vehicles at the KZN parks office, a minimal fee is required for a day entry into the park.
Pack a lunch and spend time enjoying the views while you experience the magic of the berg.

THE SPHNX
The Sphinx (3 hour return) is much easier and way before Blind Man's Corner, with much flat areas and spectacular views. This is a pleasant hike for a first time hiker. Crystal Falls a good place to stop and enjoy the beauty of the berg. Enjoy the fresh mountain water from one of the many springs or falls.

BLIND MAN'S CORNER
Moderate hike - this is a moderate 12 km hike. Blind Man's Corner can be accessed via Keartlands pass
or The Sphinx. The much easier and recommended route is via The Sphinx.

Lunch hiking packs can be ordered from INKOSANA Lodge situated on the R600 on your way to Monks Cowl Park.
